May Honors Our Military Men and Women
May is Military Appreciation Month! Introduced in 1999 by Sen. John McCain, Military Appreciation Month encourages Americans to reflect on the sacrifices made by soldiers, sailors, and all current and former military personnel. There are several military-related observances during this month, making it an appropriate time to celebrate the men and women in uniform. During May, we recognize Loyalty Day, Armed Forces Day,
Military Spouses Day, and Memorial Day.

Corporate Prayer and Fasting is a sign of our desire and hunger to seek God as a group all on one accord. In seeking Him, we place less importance in our daily
routines of finding food and momentary physical
pleasures. Through prayer and fasting, we develop a passion for God that supercedes everything else.
Pray and fast with us each Wednesday!

What a great time to show your appreciation to your teacher or your child's teacher. Be sure to say 'thank you’ this week, and throughout the year, to the extraordinary
educators who have worked tirelessly with students and families to keep things moving forward, despite such an unpredictable last two years.
Teaching is a work of HEART!

on the first Thursday of May and is the one day
that the US Congress asks everyone "to turn to
God in prayer and meditation". The president is

MEMORIAL DAY - The day set aside as a federal holiday in the United States for mourning U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States armed forces. Formerly observed on May 30 from 1868 to 1970 no matter the day it fell on, but is now observed on the last Monday of May. Many people visit cemeteries and memorials on Memorial Day to honor and mourn those who died while serving in the U.S. military, while many do the same for civilian family members and loved ones. It is also considered the unofficial beginning of summer in the United States.
