Our Ministries

RLOC offers various ministries and auxiliaries in which members can serve.  For more information about any of the following auxiliaries, please contact the Church Office.

A.I.M (Ambassadors In Mission)

The Ambassadors in Mission (AIM), the foreign mission ministry of RLOC, supports the church mission to advance God’s Kingdom by helping individuals come to know the love of Christ. AIM accomplishes this through serviceCaring for the needs of families; Moving in local, national and global communities to provide assistance; and Sharing in faith God’s love in action.

Deacon Board

The Deacons at RLOC are called by God and ordained by our Pastor. They are called to a lifetime ministry of Word, service, compassion, and integrity, to both the community and the congregation which fulfills RLOC’s Mission. Our Deacons assist others with entering into discipleship, and tend to the needs and hurts of the people within the church. Our Pastor chose these men of God under the instruction of God and 1 Timothy 3:8-9, which says, “In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain.  They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience.” They assist with Baptisms, Communion, and anything deemed necessary by the Pastor.

Education Committee

The primary focus of RLOC’s Education Committee is to encourage and support our youth in fulfilling various academic requirements and challenges.  The Committee provides oversight in the awarding of scholarships and other prizes funded by the members and ministries of RLOC.  The Committee provides publicity about other scholarship and award opportunities given by groups not affiliated with our church.  One of its major events is the annual awards and recognition program hosted for all achievers, starting with pre-school students through college graduates.  Adult RLOC members are also recognized for their special achievements.

HarVest (Outreach Ministry)

HarVest, the Outreach Ministry of RLOC, enlists members called by God to be representatives of His presence in the world and to harvest souls for Christ. HarVest focuses on connecting families and communities to the redeeming love of Christ through various outreach activities (Community Outreach, Community Festival) and fellowships (Family and Friends Day, Discipleship Classes). In stride with the church's vision, HarVest is “FULFILLING THE VISION BY WAY OF THE MISSION." Its goal is to reach the lost, to teach them how to become disciples of Jesus Christ, and release them to do the same.

Kitchen Staff

RLOC’s Kitchen Staff is in place to prepare refreshments or meals to support the various church ministries for programs, celebrations, and other special occasions. They are responsible for enlisting volunteers to assist with preparation, donations, serving, and cleanup.  They also periodically inventory and purchase food and supplies. Psalm 107:9 says, “for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” RLOC's Kitchen Staff is known for their excellent cooking and a passion for serving and catering to others…and only ‘good things’ can come from that.

The Kingsmen (Men's Ministry)

RLOC’s Men’s Ministry has accepted their orders directly from God through the Pastor. They use their gifts and talents to actively pursue men in the church, to connect them to God’s Word, and to complete the church mission. They strive to bring men into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to unite them in Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and accountability. The Men’s Ministry exists for the sole purpose of winning, growing and training God’s man in Christ, which is supported by Colossians 1:28, “…that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus”.

Multimedia and Sound Ministry

The Multimedia and Sound Ministry at RLOC carries the Gospel of Jesus Christ on DVD’s and CD’s to those unable to benefit from our physical services. This ministry not only produces, but duplicates and distributes recorded audio and video files to fulfill order requests. They provide sound engineering, and audio-visual support for our worship services, music ministry, and activities of all other ministries. The photographer for church activities is also part of this ministry.

Missionary Department

The Missionary Ministry at RLOC is in place to serve those who are less fortunate in the church and local community. Their foundation is Matthew 25:35-36, “For I was hungry, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; naked, and ye clothed me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me”. Our Missionaries reach out to homebound members with prayer, calls, visits, and cards, as well as aiding with any needs that they may have or duties that they are unable to perform. They are also responsible for collecting, organizing, and distributing food, clothing, blankets, etc. to those in the community who are homeless or in need. We are especially appreciative of them also, for volunteering their housekeeping expertise for the upkeep of the church.

Praise and Worship and Music Ministries

The Praise and Worship and Music Ministries work hand in hand with RLOC’s Church Mission. They work together to assist in advancing God’s Kingdom by providing a praise, worship, and music experience that brings individuals to Christ. Their music, songs, and vocal praise sets the atmosphere and assists in ushering in the Holy Spirit which edifies those in the congregation, exalts God, and witnesses to those who are not saved. Their aim is to reach those who may receive a message of salvation through music, if not through preaching, and help bring worshipers and congregants closer to Christ giving God the glory, honor, and praise that He deserves.

Praise Dance Team

The RLOC Praise Dance Ministry consists of youth who love the Lord!  They enjoy using their talents and gift of dance to glorify God, share the good news of Jesus Christ to the lost, and encourage, comfort, and edify believers in the faith.  Their physical expressions offer praise and worship to God and Jesus Christ, with joy and gladness.

Social Media and Communications Ministry

This ministry covers our Facebook and Instagram accounts, website, monthly newsletter and church correspondence.  Each of these platforms keep our members, other individuals, and groups and organizations informed of church activities, events and information. Social media and communications help us to advance the Kingdom of God and remain connected with people, families and communities.

Sunday School Department

Our Sunday School Department has a great impact on the fulfillment of the Church Mission. It is in Sunday School that we “build relationships WITH GOD”. Through the …taught Word of God”. This applies to those who need to be saved and to Christians desiring to grow into full spiritual maturity. RLOC’s Sunday School also provides a strong foundation in Christian education for our young people by exposing them to the beauty of God’s creation, helping them to develop a belief in God’s presence in their lives and to make a full commitment to following Christ’s example.  There is a class for children of all ages and adults.

Trustee Board

The Trustees at RLOC work very closely with the church Deacons who set an example for the services to be provided.  The Trustees give greater attention and assistance to the church maintenance, facilities, equipment and property.  They are elected by the Pastor to serve God and the church as good stewards; to maintain order in the church; and to use their talents and gifts to benefit the Body of Christ (“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10)

Usher Board

RLOC’s Usher Board collectively works as a team to serve and demonstrate God’s commission to His people. They strive to glorify God and His sanctuary by providing a safe, comfortable, and friendly place of worship, while lending spiritual dignity to the church service. The Usher Board Ministry supports the church mission by aiding the Pastor, greeting people with pleasant smiles, and seeing to it that perfect order is kept in the church during services. Their service is directly reflected in Psalm 84:10, “…I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”, and displays warmth and enthusiasm exemplifying the Body of Christ.

W.O.W. (Women of Wisdom)

W.O.W. was organized to build unity and strength among the female population of RLOC.  Meetings are held once a month, on a Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon.  Attendees are able to bond and build relationships through fellowship.  During our meetings, we read about women in the Bible, and discover how their lifestyles and experiences are similar to our very own.  We have “Table-Talk” sessions on various topics of interest (i.e., housekeeping tips; health and fitness; abusive relationships; how to dress for success, etc.).  We gain insight, understanding, and nuggets of wisdom that help us better cope with and manage circumstances in our individual lives. We can see clearly how God has uniquely and wonderfully designed every female for the fulfillment of His purpose in the Kingdom of God, the family and communities.

Youth Ministry

The RLOC Youth Ministry is on a mission to teach, prepare, and encourage our young people to develop genuine relationships with Christ. This ministry’s aim is to provide an environment where they can mature spiritually and can establish a foundation upon which Christian character, morals, and values can be built. The Youth Ministry encourages our young people to live by 1 Timothy 4:12, “Do not let anyone look down upon you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” The ministry also implements a variety of social activities to excite, inspire, and ignite their interest in living holy, and to assist in their overall Christian growth.
